Block Island Run 8/27 - 8/28!!!

Okay, since the summer is rapidly winding down and club doesn't seem to ever organize anything, I thought I'd throw this out there with plenty of advance notice...

Weather permitting, we are running over to BI Saturday morning 8/27. We'll stay the night and then head back Sunday afternoon.

It would be nice to get several boats together to run and raft with. Planning on hitting Ballards, etc. This probably would not be a trip for the kids!

Rain date will be the following weekend.

Who's in? :drink:

1MOSES1 08-08-2011 08:20 AM

Sorry to hear that (but I understand!), see if Nate would be interested, we'd love to have him come!

Big Time 08-08-2011 08:32 AM

Sick Stinger 08-08-2011 08:52 AM

Im not in the club but that is my birthday weekend, might plan around a little B.I. trip

SS930 08-08-2011 11:13 AM

Sounds good guys... I think Pat is in as well.

I'm also considering heading to Montauk and staying at the MYC the following weekend (9/3), so keep that in mind as well. Really nice place and a couple of great spots over there. I'm told it's crazy for the holiday weekend so I might look at doing this and making reservation(s). LMK if you guys are interested and if so I'll start another thread....

Summer is slowly winding down, and I'm not going out without a bang... unless my boat goes 'bang' first, haha!

WildThing47 08-08-2011 11:55 AM

I'm in

The tachs literally swung faster than the throttles lol. Sounds sick when you hit it at 3500 and it goes right to 5100 but doesnt pull past 65 mph. So yeah Mike call Brett so i can use the 25s for my low output 454s lol

After meeting so many great people from the RI/MA area at the Fall River Poker Run, I thought I'd bring this back to the top to see if those folks would like to join us for this GTG at BI. Our group will be running from the Old Saybrook area of CT, but that's not to say others couldn't run together from RI/MA are. Hopefully you guys can join us as it's sure to be a good time!

Assuming there's room, we'll all hopefully be rafting together inside Old Harbor and hangin at Ballards for part of the time. If there's not room in Old Harbor, we'll be bringing the party to New Harbor... :drink:

scot and mike in thier last TV appearance later they went on to do the movie TWINS. LOL

In a sad turn events both turned to bad addictions, one turned to cigarettes only to run 43 MPH at poker runs.

The other bought a big dollar OL only to leave it home and run 43 MPH on hans cig due to the expense of towing and fuel.

Its a typical sad hollywood story:kiss:

WOW! Sick and Scot will LOVE this post!...........Especially Mike! Hahaha

Sick Stinger 08-19-2011 03:28 PM

Hey Jeff I could run 30 mph but I can tell you this, When you and I pull into a Marina they only reason to look past my boat is the fact the screwed down clear Kite on your deck would have them in aww. But i guess in your twisted world you would see that as a complement.
