yes, its to be sure the sled is 100% straight, if the chassie is tweaked at all it will create resistance and slow the machine down. the less drag on the sled the better and faster it will run. it also tells what to remove and where to cover up etc. .

Where do you have that done? Is it somewhere local? Can they do other things like cars?

I ride an 07 MXZ Blizzard 600 SDI and my daughters ride an 04 polaris supersport. Iride primarily in NH. Got friends in Plymouth and Loudon so I always have a place to crash without spending money on lodging. Been riding for 11 years now. Absolutley love the sport of snowmobiling. just got into boating this year. I average about 1200 miles per year reagardless of conditons.... if I need to travel further north I travel further north!
If you haven't ever tried this sport you hafta give it a try....like others have said... you can have a badass sled for 14k with all the gear you need to be warm and toasty...
I would love to post a pic of my sleds but i do not know how to post pics on this site... can anyone point me in the right direction to do so?

Use mothers billet polish and let the rag get black and keep rubbing until dry then put baking flour on a clean rag a decent amount and wipe of the black residue. You will be surprised how much easier it is to take off with the flour. You are going to have to do it several times then just maintain it.
