I think I am going to list mine this winter...go for an upgrade. What do you think this is worth? Am I better selling it on my own and using that $$ towards a new one, or will a dealer take it in on trade and not bend me over on it...?

Low to mid 3's. Dealer will work you over, but you would save the tax difference(about $200).

I got a Mach Z 1000 that I messed up a piston on last year. It was the PTO side. I sent out the cylinders to get replated at Millenium. There was a good amount of belt dust in the reed cage. Should I go down into the lower end? The sled has around 3800 miles. I hear that the crank seals can mess up and also that the grease can get washed out around the bearings.

Is it still apart? If so definately check out the crank. It might be ok. If it's back together run it, but think about a crank replacement after 5000. We do a lot of Mach Z cranks...

It is apart still. So I have to pull the block to check and do a total take down of the motor?

Any of you guys come up to the Epping NH grass drags? You want to talk a good time! The swap meet is also a good take and there is plenty of merchandise! I bought a new riding jacket and helmet for cheap money! I will be there again this year

...Jim

BTW...I ride an 05 rev 800 with custom graphics. See below...

i run the pre filters with cone filters because of the belt dust. its killer. i would pull it apart.
as for the crank, the main reason is poor oiling so i always add a little 2 stroke into my fuel to try to help keep here moving free. not a lot but one small bottle every other fill up or so.

my mach is for sale. 900 miles on sled and motor!!! like new!!!
