Default LI Sound Alert - Debris

Yeah one would think we would have tons of debris floating in the sound after he storm, please be careful!!!

The Coast Guard is currently out looking for 100 lbs propane tanks that broke loose from the Tiki Bar in New Rochelle.... These tanks can be miles away and very dangerous!!!

An example of how far debris has floated!
This construction barrier from Willets Point in Queens, close to LaGuardia Airport was found in the Municipal Marina in New Rochelle, around 10 miles away!

Went to Rye last night, saw a few pieces of 2x4's and logs... My husband said earlier in the day he saw a whole pine tree just outside Norwalk.

It's pretty bad went from Saybrook to Newport and back this weekend on a Formula 41pc this weekend. Lots of big trees, logs, and tires floating around. Also a 100 gallon propane tank came down the CT river last week, was hung up on a friends boat

EEEEK! Not good. We went from OS to Block and back. Saw some stuff in the sound closer to shore, but once you got "out there", wasnt bad. Alittle rough, but pretty clean....

On Saturday there was a pretty well defined "scum" line(kind of a dirty foam) along the coast, where the debris was floating. By Monday the line was gone and the debris was more randomly floating around.
