Unfortunatly Im not into BMX, but I would have never guessed that you were...cool stuff. That would be a good thread actually. Finding out everyones interests. I am sure we dont talk about half the things people do... i.e. i love to run

Sorry for the partial thread hi jack.

Raced from 6-20 yrs old. In H.S. my bikes cost twice as much as my car. Also did freestyle and vert. Add in stateboarding and snowboarding. Those were the days! Just have a mountainbike now for the trails. No where near as fun as bmx.

30ctsutphen 10-25-2011 04:52 PM

I used to own a Haro Freestyle, and a Hutch Race bike...used to ride the Haro all over campus at BU, got rid of it all to buy my mountain bike, great trails around here....just picked up a 20" Specialized to ride around with my kids...i still got a few moves!

Sick Stinger 10-25-2011 07:28 PM

Mike I'll bring one for you

Keith Atlanta 10-25-2011 07:38 PM

I rode BMX when I was 10-14 yrs old. I only ride road now. I met a guy down in Boca Raton while buying wheels for my current bike that buys and sells BMX bikes from the 80's. The original bikes like a Haro with gold rims and white and black checkerboard handlebar pads go for big money - Like $8000. I couldnt believe it!

Still got my gt performer in the basement, always been saving it if I had a kid.

I was big into racing 8-15 then freestyle... Huge half pipe in the parents back yard....had a team & did shows in & around Boston ... We actually got paid too..!

Then came motocross.... So the bike sat in the corner.

I miss it & I will grab a 24 inch sooner or later.... Lil scared of messing my self up though ....

Of course , snowboards, dirt bikes, jetskis, then harleys & boats......

Honestly think boats are the safest thing with all the same adrenaline
feel as all the above..... Between the waves or the wallet there is plenty intensity.

R.L. Was my hero...!

I thought this was a joke, but I definitely saw you on the bike!

Never would've thought you'd be into that.

Gauge your ears, start listening to emo rock ...

30ctsutphen 10-26-2011 11:04 AM

My kuwahara is set for freestyle right now with perigrine Z mags etc but I still have the original aluminum wheels for it, and most of the stock parts.
I have a cheap mongoose, mtn bike we bought to bring on the boat w us but we never did it, I got the Idea from a sutphen that was for sale in MI with bike racks on it.

Letterip you ever see that boat? had the big windshield too but had BBC's in it.

I didnt thgink anyone else was into biking and boating, could be cool to go places on the boats and bike when we get there especially with a large group.

30ctsutphen 10-26-2011 11:05 AM

All you need to do is spend an afternoon with Jeff and you're hear lots of things that you haven't heard in 20 years. He brakes my balls about my jeans being old school, yet he's still living in the 80's... look at that broken down burro of a boat if you don't believe me! :drink:

SHARKEY-IMAGES 10-27-2011 05:55 AM
