The docks at D&B are owned and operated by Brandywine Corp a hugh realestate development co that also owns the pier under the bridge/Phila Marine center and the fuel docks. D&B could easily arrange to validate boat parking for their boat customers. BW also owns the pier that D&B is on. The casino has a plan to drege and put in docks I believe in stage 3 of their project. Something directly geared towards boaters might not pay off but anything along the waterfront would absolutely benifit from boat access during the warmer months. Back during the races I was talking to Kurt Berger and he said that Philly was as big a problem as Camden. They all had their hands out. It's even worse now cause you know whos in charge now.

I boat in maryland boat live near the delaware river and it would be nice to bring my boat intown by water. i dont know why the Deck doesnt fix there docks and bring back the Boomer/lagoon early days. if there really trying to "Class" that place up they need to bring boaters in......

That is why I don't and my friends don't boat on the river anymore there is nothing to do. There is a ton of trash and patrol that have nothing else to do. Go to the Chesapeake and see what boating is all about.

No doubt Chesapeake is the best , I go there every weekend but the boat ramp @ Gloucester city is super nice and only ten min from home . During the week I have a blast ,many fast boats . Yes @ times ( after heavy rain ) much debris but some months next to nothing

I agree that at times the Delaware River is loaded with debris, mostly after a heavy rain. BUT every other river that I have ever been on is the same way. I guess baja27 wasn't out on the Chez Bay after all those rains? The whole bay looked like the Delaware on its worst day, why? Because of all the rivers feeding it. I'd just like to have someplace close to home to splash the boat in when I only have a couple hours to play around. I like to take the boat to work occasionally too but that's an expensive ride to work. I hope this thing goes thru and other places open up, we don't need much.

Just jump the gate @ D&B . Just wanted to let everyone know that Cattails re-opening April . Been going there for years , plenty free docking , good food .

mookymonkey 03-31-2012 12:08 PM

where exactly is cattails located? tia, mark

KEVLARKAT32 03-31-2012 01:08 PM

Woodbury creek , little creek across from the island in National park , dont cut the corner low tide

fireboatpilot 04-02-2012 07:14 PM

So how far up the creek is the joint? I googled it and I see some buildings before the road but doesn't look like much dock space. Rafting up? How much water is up in there?
