200 Yrd North of Glou city marina . It was the old Coast gaurd station . Stay out of my Marina !!!

That woould be great! When are they supposed to break ground? That's a hugh property but I thought most of it was still being used for something? I'll ask here at the new CG base, maybe somebody knows something? Best thing is, is that it's on the Jersey side so it might actually get done without the city coming in and screwing it up like it would in Philly. All this waterfront here and none of it being used for anything let alone geared towards boaters. Funny, no more races or even the Flutag disaster this year? Wait and see, keep us posted on any news. Wonder once stage one is complete if you could dock at Glouster city and walk there?

hopefully they wont charge for docking like dave and busters.
last year we used to go down to dave and busters and rock lobster but by the time you paid for fuel, 100.00 food and drink bill or more, you really didn't want to have to spend 15.00 to get back to your boat. if they are open i will make a trip down to check it out this coming summer. getting tired of going to curtins for a boat and dinner night. |
there is also a plan for development up north on the delaware river.

There are a lot of boaters in this area. About time something new is coming around!!! Keep us informed.

Phila bar/restaurants on water: just no $$$ being spent to offset the costs to open/maintain a place along the water in philadelphia and the liability for being on the water as well as boating customers is apprehensive.
you would be surprised the amount of performance boats that dont want to pay the $10 to park at the dave and buster...its public parking for a fee...not free public parking. D&B dont own the marina. |
It wouldn't be that bad at d&b if you spent a certain amount and they gave you a dock coin. im not sure if d&b own the docks down there or not but you have to buy the token from them to get back to your boat. it would be great if they opened the spot up in falls twp but i doubt it will happen.

Your correct about Phila , totally corupt and it will never change . Otts from what i'm told will break ground in the spring and yes even now you can walk from Glous ramp to where Rest will be built , that is where I launch from .
FB , you mentioned races in Phila and I know first hand what happened as I raced both 04 with Toasty ( Chris Del) and 05 with Vince bury in my boat ( 2nd in 2005 class P-5 . Well in 2004 the OPA came to Camden for free to show thw town council what we could do for the City and they were blown away!! Tons of people spending money on the get on battleship and all the food was sold out 100 % success . So in 2005 the invited the OPA back but this time they had to buck -up to help cover our cost . Smitty asked Chris and myself to bring boat to meet the media a few days befroe race and we saw first hand why it is no wonder why Camden is a Cluster -F**CK !!!! The Mayor staff was there scratching their heads and blamming each other for issues not resolved . What a Circus Bottom line the reason we never came back was Camden City council ........ I'm going to work on making this happen again Too bad Because I live in Voorhees and remember in 1986 with Unlimited Hydros and the place was packed for 3 days , oh what it could have been Larry |
