Ok I guess I couldn't stay away. Why do you think that is alot of power? You had 502's with 250 blowers, cast iron heads and single carbs making over 750hp. Mine are 540 tall decks with 8-71 blowers and ported Dart aluminum heads.

It's not the power, the engines will make plenty of it, all I'm saying is...that's allot of power to push through that drive line, you get over 800 things start to get angry....

They are tuned down Pat...big pully. 3.5 to 4 lbs of boost.

Frank also has IMCO SCX's on the way to help with that 800 HP!

And I agree on our spring CPBA meeting at The Kilt !

Pfft, always instigating Frank....

The refresh from Merc is overpriced and OVERKILL....that's if you don't maintain the motor what so ever...you can get 100hrs out of them easily as long as you check the valve/lifters. It's the lifters that cause the problems, but it's all how you run em and maintain em. Most of the guys with the problems don't check anything...you can blow up anything if you don't maintain/do scheduled maintenance....
