Ill stop after this post. Not sure if anything was directed my way or not? But my offer to help out has been, and still is sincere. I offered on the swap meet & other occasions. I havent forked over membership fees because honesty....I do not see any perks to becoming a member at this time.

Say it isn't so!
Jeff, I'll take on the news letter, please send this out to all members...
2011-2012 News Letter: Our club president made it out on the water two or three times all summer. CPBA did have a successful swap meet last fall (hosted and mostly organized by Ocean Performance), OP was even nice enough to 'spray' the club president right out the door at one point, cheers were given by all! The CPBA had a great Christmas party, although the president couldn't be bothered to come. In fact, the CPBA president couldn't be bothered with anything all winter either, but he did log onto OSO once. Our M@sshole friends to the east are in the process of putting together a race team for 2012. Combat Racing will be holding a party/fund raiser on 3/3/12. All proceeds will go towards their racing endeavors. We wish them well and hope they can manage to not only get a running boat together, but can also keep it sunny side up. Word on the streets is they are a little behind schedule due to having to spend a lot of extra time engineering a safety booster seat for their navigator. In other news... Kev, Jamie, and the Mike's continue to add new boats to their collections. The Sutphen crew is planning a good showing for 2012. Adam continues to seek out "swimmers", while Pat's still talking about selling and going big. Rumor has it a certain Sonic will break the around LI record this year, all while still running Alpha drives. Robb's boat will get an extra layer or ten of wax for the 2012 season. John-boy isn't doing much with his boat, although he's vowed to not be so outspoken this season. Mike T. swears he'll take one of his many 32'-34' boats out at least three times this year, although the over/under is set at "once" by the guys taking action on this. Ego 1 is getting a new swim platform thanks to the folks at OP and should be coming home in mid March. Nate and Justin are still on the search for a trailer that's not twice as long as their boat (if anyone knows of a like new Myco for a 29 for less than $500, please contact them). Amazingly, Frank and his boat threaten to be even prettier for the 2012 season, is this even possible??? Lastly, Fran says "it's coming!" and that all he cares about is "running that sh!tbox with outboards down!" :drink:[/QUOTE] :poopoo:MOMMY HELP:cartman: |

Lots of rediculous posts from people who not only havent pitched in but arent even current members.
BTW the few people on here are not the whole club, There are many guys who do not appreciate or enjoy the banter on this site being a part of the club including many guys who are on this site. As for the Christmas party the EMAIL list I handed to the person putting on the party never even used the list and contacted the rest of the membership though I asked them too several times. Those members who were left out Im sure really appreciated it especially since I called many of them and told them an email invite was on its way. running a club is not a one person job. Others need to pitch in to make it work. Frank |

I,m not JEFF (because i'd never own a **** box with outboards)but he must be doing something else for work. It's not my business!:party-smiley-004::party-smiley-004: ALL I CARE ABOUT IS THAT ROLLER I"M GOING TO HIT!:thankyouthankyou: So what's up with that other boat club? :lolhit: Has anybody figured out a name? :cartman:
Answer I never go by. Must be one of my guys in my truck I've been there almost ever single day, trees are cleared, stumps are pulled, wetlands reduced, all approvals done, meetings w soil scientists on site as well as engineers House is staked and ready to dig Who did all that??? Must be the Santa Claus I guess Maybe you drive by after a liquid lunch? Lol |
Frank, I have no problem running the club, got discounts for all of you at OP for winter storage, discounts for repairs, decals made, t shirts made, our own forum on OSO
Website, paypal registered the club as a bus, paid the taxes etc etc We have a VP and a membership sec. That can do things too , it's not all on me There were plenty of much needed things done I faxed the emails to those putting on the Xmas party while I was away and they didn't even bother to contact any members. Simple task But yeah I'm the one lacking, that's laughable really Who's done more? Who's volunteered and shown they are worthy of taking over? Please name that person! :) I guess no one can volunteer their time without the title of president? That's pathetic If someone cares about this club they can step up and volunteer anytime, get total bragging rights It's easy for people to throw stones from an easy chair and a computer screen, while I've been out making it happen The only reason we haven't had a PR of our own is simple$$$ A club is not a poker run alone. As for perks of joining a club , pat lived next door to my brother at the shore for 15 years and they didn't know each other, 15 min in the club and they were having cocktails at the bar! |

MD We're in talks to have a drag boat event in CT, and working with some drag racers to get it going. Problem is as always ,money. That's what has held us back believe me I could have paid an attorney to handle most of the club issues like becoming a non profit, but we'd never get a poker run that way. Everyone wants to party and have events but no one wants to do the hard work to get it done or bring in the funds to pay someone to get it done. I appreciate your offer as well as Fran's above. Frank I am happy to hear you at least like the Idea of the club, all I've wanted was to bring something good to CT and performance boating, bring us all together. |
Jeff, Scot is the only one who said he could do a better job if he was president no one else.:poopoo:

True though, club is more than just a poker run. It's meeting those people you see out going, "I wonder who that is"... Personally, it's getting old listening about everyone ranking on Jeff every 5 minutes...if you want to run the club, I'm sure Jeff would be more than happy to let you do it (whomeever wants to be up to the task)... I also feel bringing a person's personal life and mentioning you haven't seen them working all winter in a negative manner isn't appropriate AT ALL....(Francis...) Give it a rest... It's starting to be coming on here is one big insult or people *****ing, who the *uck wants to read that? |
Formula is the best boat made......:poopoo:
