Not trying to stick my finger in the wrong hole here...but, if you guys feel like your clubs being mismanaged or not given enough attention, can't the funds be rolled & somebody with more time can take the helm?
I have limited time with jeff, but he seems pretty reasonable.....if he's really pressed for time he may think this is a good idea !!!! Before $hit gets uncivil $.02 |
They're ALL UNCIVIL- that's how they Roll :lolhit:

Sup My Brothas!
Im still around just taking these super slow winter months to take care of some much needed Items in life. Been crazy busy and By the time I get all my real estate stuff, regular work, and the house Items done I am wiped out. Days go by like minutes and weeks go by like Hrs it seems. I have been in touch with a bunch of the boys, in fact I talk to Mike Telow almost every other day, Jimmy Lagassi( crash box) every week or so. I kinda told Kev to do what was needed and the bank account was there if he needed it for the party etc. I told Scott I needed help with the news letter and other Items but never heard anything from anyone willing to take on the tasks. Those are very important Items for people who dont get on OSO. I havent heard from too many others though most have my cell number and everyone knows they can call me at any time. I did hear from Mike SS last week and Pat sends me sick texts weekly LOL Thanks Pat Have no fear I didnt drop off the face of the earth completely, Just figured everyone was off riding sleds and doing winter stuff, and I needed to really get some stuff taken care of before the boating season kicks back in. If anyone ever needs me and wonders whats up, Please feel free to email me [email protected] check my email 4 opr 5 tiomes a day at least. Probably have at least another month of craziness ahead and I would really appreciate any help I can get to get the club back on track, Need volunteers badly to keep things going so Step up and help out if you can. If figured you guys would enjoy the break from my winning online personality.LOL |

Ask themselves how much effort they have put into promoting this club, and making sure the day to day Items that need to get done, got done. Then they should call me and volunteer some time before throwing stones. let he without sin cast the first stone, ever heard that one? who answered the call to hand out flyers at the boat launch for 2 hrs per season? not one person Who answered the call to help with the news letter? not one person. |

Last year around October the Chester Airport had a land and air show at the airport. The Whelen factory owns the airport and it's located right on the property. They had a car show there, tractor pull out back and a couple of wooden boats on display. Really large parking area. I can ask if they would consider a land, sea and air show with performance boats displayed. We could set up a booth like at the swap meet to sell items and sign people up to join the club. Any interest? I plan on putting the Cessna Caravan on display like last year along with a couple of boats.

Jeff, I'll take on the news letter, please send this out to all members...
2011-2012 News Letter: Our club president made it out on the water two or three times all summer. CPBA did have a successful swap meet last fall (hosted and mostly organized by Ocean Performance), OP was even nice enough to 'spray' the club president right out the door at one point, cheers were given by all! The CPBA had a great Christmas party, although the president couldn't be bothered to come. In fact, the CPBA president couldn't be bothered with anything all winter either, but he did log onto OSO once. Our M@sshole friends to the east are in the process of putting together a race team for 2012. Combat Racing will be holding a party/fund raiser on 3/3/12. All proceeds will go towards their racing endeavors. We wish them well and hope they can manage to not only get a running boat together, but can also keep it sunny side up. Word on the streets is they are a little behind schedule due to having to spend a lot of extra time engineering a safety booster seat for their navigator. In other news... Kev, Jamie, and the Mike's continue to add new boats to their collections. The Sutphen crew is planning a good showing for 2012. Adam continues to seek out "swimmers", while Pat's still talking about selling and going big. Rumor has it a certain Sonic will break the around LI record this year, all while still running Alpha drives. Robb's boat will get an extra layer or ten of wax for the 2012 season. John-boy isn't doing much with his boat, although he's vowed to not be so outspoken this season. Mike T. swears he'll take one of his many 32'-34' boats out at least three times this year, although the over/under is set at "once" by the guys taking action on this. Ego 1 is getting a new swim platform thanks to the folks at OP and should be coming home in mid March. Nate and Justin are still on the search for a trailer that's not twice as long as their boat (if anyone knows of a like new Myco for a 29 for less than $500, please contact them). Amazingly, Frank and his boat threaten to be even prettier for the 2012 season, is this even possible??? Lastly, Fran says "it's coming!" and that all he cares about is "running that sh!tbox with outboards down!" :drink: |
very nicely done

And **** like this negative crap has done nothing but undermine any positive forward movement and Allienate many members of the club who did work hard. Gee wonder why I dont want to put anymore effort in,or participate in this online waste of time. If you had taken the time it took to write this TRASH and did something for the club wed have a REAL newsletter. Lets see you start a club from scratch and see how well you do? Since its SOOOOOOOO easy. |

Jeff clearly you have had a hard go at it and have been busy and are occupied with other things. This is not a bad thing just a fact. I know could not tackle this project right now, but there are others here who do have the time and desire to make something out of the club so why not let them run with it and see what happens. You have got it started now let someone run with it, a new broom sweeps clean!

If anyone ever needs me and wonders whats up, Please feel free to email me [email protected] check my email 4 opr 5 tiomes a day at least. Not sure about you guys but all I heard was "blah blah blah, please send me any and all disgustingly wierd pics of really sexy fat ass chicks to keep me from doing anything constructive with my time daily" As a plus it helps I live a long ways away so he can't come kick my ass for posting this... :lolhit: |
Lots of rediculous posts from people who not only havent pitched in but arent even current members.
BTW the few people on here are not the whole club, There are many guys who do not appreciate or enjoy the banter on this site being a part of the club including many guys who are on this site. As for the Christmas party the EMAIL list I handed to the person putting on the party never even used the list and contacted the rest of the membership though I asked them too several times. Those members who were left out Im sure really appreciated it especially since I called many of them and told them an email invite was on its way. running a club is not a one person job. Others need to pitch in to make it work. |
Ill stop after this post. Not sure if anything was directed my way or not? But my offer to help out has been, and still is sincere. I offered on the swap meet & other occasions. I havent forked over membership fees because honesty....I do not see any perks to becoming a member at this time.
some clubs actually require non members help as a trial period before they join. The offers still on the table if having mass residents as members would be beneficial. MD |

Answer I never go by. Must be one of my guys in my truck I've been there almost ever single day, trees are cleared, stumps are pulled, wetlands reduced, all approvals done, meetings w soil scientists on site as well as engineers House is staked and ready to dig Who did all that??? Must be the Santa Claus I guess Maybe you drive by after a liquid lunch? Lol |
Frank, I have no problem running the club, got discounts for all of you at OP for winter storage, discounts for repairs, decals made, t shirts made, our own forum on OSO
Website, paypal registered the club as a bus, paid the taxes etc etc We have a VP and a membership sec. That can do things too , it's not all on me There were plenty of much needed things done I faxed the emails to those putting on the Xmas party while I was away and they didn't even bother to contact any members. Simple task But yeah I'm the one lacking, that's laughable really Who's done more? Who's volunteered and shown they are worthy of taking over? Please name that person! :) I guess no one can volunteer their time without the title of president? That's pathetic If someone cares about this club they can step up and volunteer anytime, get total bragging rights It's easy for people to throw stones from an easy chair and a computer screen, while I've been out making it happen The only reason we haven't had a PR of our own is simple$$$ A club is not a poker run alone. As for perks of joining a club , pat lived next door to my brother at the shore for 15 years and they didn't know each other, 15 min in the club and they were having cocktails at the bar! |

some clubs actually require non members help as a trial period before they join. The offers still on the table if having mass residents as members would be beneficial. MD We're in talks to have a drag boat event in CT, and working with some drag racers to get it going. Problem is as always ,money. That's what has held us back believe me I could have paid an attorney to handle most of the club issues like becoming a non profit, but we'd never get a poker run that way. Everyone wants to party and have events but no one wants to do the hard work to get it done or bring in the funds to pay someone to get it done. I appreciate your offer as well as Fran's above. Frank I am happy to hear you at least like the Idea of the club, all I've wanted was to bring something good to CT and performance boating, bring us all together. |
Jeff, Scot is the only one who said he could do a better job if he was president no one else.:poopoo:

True though, club is more than just a poker run. It's meeting those people you see out going, "I wonder who that is"... Personally, it's getting old listening about everyone ranking on Jeff every 5 minutes...if you want to run the club, I'm sure Jeff would be more than happy to let you do it (whomeever wants to be up to the task)... I also feel bringing a person's personal life and mentioning you haven't seen them working all winter in a negative manner isn't appropriate AT ALL....(Francis...) Give it a rest... It's starting to be coming on here is one big insult or people *****ing, who the *uck wants to read that? |
Formula is the best boat made......:poopoo:
