Thank you all for the responses. The Donzi does have a quick and quiet exhaust so loud is not a problem. Fast is a different story. With a small block V8 strapped to a surf board it is not slow. But at least the operator is in control of that! HA HA! What do the marine patrol look for a State License or an online certificate?

Thanks

Don

Ive heard of several people getting tickets, and the boat needs to have some form of noise control if it has thru hull exhaust, so if you don't have mufflers get them

If you run switchable then you have to pass with them open, not closed. Their test is a running pass at I think 100 feet with the exhaust open.

You have to pass a boating safty class. I would assume that if Ohio has the full blown class online were you get a certificate then you would be OK based on their web site.

Mandatory Boating Education

New Hampshire has a mandatory boating education law. Everyone 16 years of age and older who operates a motorboat over 25 horsepower on New Hampshire waters must have a boating education certificate.

New Hampshire accepts the following boating education certificates:
1.A boating certificate issued by another State agency and NASBLA approved.
2.A boating certificate issued by the US Power Squadron.
3.A boating certificate issued by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
4.An unexpired commercial boating license issued by the US Coast Guard.
5.An unexpired commercial boating license issued by the State of New Hampshire.

If you wish to operate a motorboat on New Hampshire waters and you do not have any of the above certificates, please sign up for one of our classroom courses listed below. The State proctored examination is included with the classroom course and is given during the last hour of the class.
