Hi i usually go to lake george every year for vacation. i see there is some sort of event on May 17th-18th. I would love to come up for the weekend with my Baja. Is there anyway to get a registration form or a way to get "invited"?
thanks J

How big is your Baja? We have a 24 foot minimum and it should pretty much be able to run high 60s. That way you dont have to run the snot out of it to have fun

No it is not OPA only and by reading your post I can tell you haven't read much of this thread. BTW we have full support from the Lake George Park Commission for our event.

Sorry, cant agree..
It has nothing to do with locals and everything to do with how you drive your boat. You have to realize that the police are trying to balance the kayakers and pontoon boats pulling tubers with offshore boats. In the village area and the narrows, that can be a dangerous combination. Wait until you see a blue kayak in the middle of a channel while you are running and you will understand.
Also, they do not "wait" for the demo run. At the drivers meeting, they will tell you no speed limit is ok for the race area only. If you ignore that and get a ticket, that's on you. If you run 80 in the village or the narrows on any weekend and get a ticket, that is on you.
Again, follow Red Matters advice, use mufflers and common sense and you will be fine.

This demo race sounds like a fun time.
Not sure if I have enough boat to hang with RedMatter or ApexWarrior.......................but it would be interesting to try.
Couple of questions:
Can I use those guys as references on my drivers' application ?
Would this type of running be considered proper break-in for fresh top ends ?
