I love the State Park beach, I kayak down some days just to hang out. There is also a a great little beach if you want quite on the other side of the state park (towards Point Sebago). It is really secluded and there is only enough parking for a couple of boats (go slow, there are some rocks as you get close to shore).
Head to the Portland Water District 2 mile marker and look to the right and you'll see all the boats lined up. Complete other end of the lake from the State Park.

Be careful, the water is running fast and going south is a little tricky. If you don't have to, i would wait.

Named "Propless"? If that was you, cool looking boat.
You also went by me and a buddy cleaning the river on Fri (I think).
I was almost boatless this weekend as well - amazing how "fast" a $50 coil can bring you to a stop. Thanks to Kurt and Tim (Dorr's Marine) for getting me back going.
