I ran around to Tropix from the North Shore a couple if time last year. The food & service was amazing. It was that good that we brought more friends the next time around. My only concern would be docking for as many boats as we had on the fall run.

I agree about the limited docking, but there are a few public docks within walking distance that can be used (2$/ft). And I am pretty sure Tropix is expanding this winter signifacantly to the north which would add quite a few more slips. Other option is Pop's which has a lot more slips and is much bigger then any of the other places I mentioned. And also closer to East Rockaway inlet, so it is much easier to get to from the city.... Just some ideas if anyone's interested......

Johnny- what about a run to fire island starting at the south shore. Perhaps using Bay Park in Oceanside as a launch point. If the ocean is calm we can run the outside. If there are big seas with can stay inside. PM me, we can definitely put something together.

That sounds like a great idea too.... It all depends on how far the guys towing want to to tow. Bay Park Ramp is a great ramp...... plenty of parking and plenty of lanes. I'll pm you later today..... hope to see some opinions/thoughts from some others on here........

Im up for anything. All mentioned are new places to me. I would also be willing to meet up somewhere during the NY boat show and discuss other options.
