Fall River Poker Run
 

The Fall River PR is less than 2 weeks away (the weekend of 8/10). Without a doubt, this run is the most fun and by far the best value in the Northeast. A lot of guys come up Friday and take advantage of the free slips the marina provides. Friday and Sat nights are both epic, especially since the Tipsy Seagull is right there next to the slips. Shirts and diner are included with the low cost entry fee.

I've already talked to a lot of guys and I know many of the regular OSO crowd will be there. If you're on the fence, do it... The turnout, value, and the people make this the one run of the year that shouldn't be missed.

Can't wait! Anyone needs anything Friday Saturday or Sunday, just pm me. Tools parts etc.

Who is going? I was planning on going but I have 2 issues. First one is I need to get my boat back in the water and run it this week. Two I am on vacation the 3rd through the 10th. I would need to come home the 9th at night and leave first thing in the morning to make it. Oh yeah and I need a tow rig. It is possible but I am definitely on the fence. I would love to do it because I have heard several times what a great run it is!

If you're up and running, I can possibly bring your boat up Friday night.

Frank we will get the boat here one way or another! Ill run transport all night if that's what it takes!

Btw, this is a charity run, and Fall River as I understand is where the first vee bottom was built by ray hunt.

I'll be on the sideline with the camera rolling. Last year was my first time watching the weather wasn't very good but still a great time.

SS930 is correct! This run is a blast,with a bunch of good people. This year will be our 6th.
Mike is always more than accommodating.

Hoping to be there if the boat is done in time.

Do what it takes to get it done... this event is not to be missed!

It's with Peter at Nopper. Hoping to be done Friday and get it out this weekend to try it out before the run.

That was the plan, but still waiting for parts... It's looking pretty doubtful at this point.

I missed last years run for the first time in 5 years. No, I didn't wuss out due to the weather. will there be any boats that run in the low 60's I do not want to be all alone all day... then win the poker hand..

there are plenty of boats that run at 50-60mph.I usually run slow and enjoy the day,then on the last leg let it rip.

Fixed one 50-60mph boat last night, he will be there , and I'm sure there will be plenty more.

It's looking like there will be a good turnout and the weather is looking good for Sat./Sun. too. :bunnydance:

Friday is looking a little spotty at this point, but hopefully it will be clear in the afternoon/evening.

we will be coming over in the morning Saturday, 35 donzi and 31 sonic. looking forward to the run.

Unfortunately, I've decided to skip this year.We have not missed this in 6 years. My 525's have almost 300 hours on them,and are due for top-ends. The run is a blast,but we push the boat a little more than usual. Just not worth dropping a valve,and losing a motor. You guys have fun and be safe.Be sure to upload plenty of pics.

Bondo...sorry you can't make it this year. Smart move though with tired motors. It's tough to nurse the engines when there's so many opportunities to let 'er rip! I sat out last year so i know it can be a hard decision to make. Good luck and we'll hopefully see you next run!

Bondo10 if you would like a ride we are coming over with two boats.. I have a 31 sonic with room for another.... the other boat is a 35 donzi but our kids will be driving it.. there is room for another there as well.... let me know you are more than welcome to join us.

The awesome boats are all pulling into BLM as I type. The weather looks great too. Start time is between 12 & 12:30 depending on when the helicopter gets here to take some video and pics. If you're on the fence, come on down. It's going to be a blast.

What a great day.. weather was fantastic and the folks that put this event on did a great job... Thanks for a wonderful day.
