I'm in Bruce, my girlfriend also does it as a hobby so we can just let them hop from boat to boat snapping pictures.. It would be cool to get a bunch of us together though for some group photos as well.. Maybe that BBQ that we tried to make happen last year could actually work this year..

Fantastic day on Sunday on the water, saw Kurt a few times with different boats, and also a 25 Warlock that ive never seen before.. anyone know this boat? looked great! the Checkmate ran 64.4 @ 5200 rpm with 4 people and half a tank of fuel on the Mirage 23, i think its time to try a 25, its still a stock bottom end 7.4, 5200 is more then im comfortable with.. weather is looking good this coming weekend too, maybe a few of us could meet up and have a cookout or something? so nice to be back out on the water every weekend!

That Warlock is sexy! Not sure yet what's going on for me that weekend yet, where do you usual post up on sebago? I'll be out this weekend, we keep the checkmate at Naples Marina.. Catch you on the water!

Haha thanks man. I take good care of her. My parents have a house in the Cove directly across from the tip of the state park sandbar, so I typically just boat out of there. This year I have been trailering from my house in Bridgton. I'll be boating from the 4th-6th from their dock. Usually post up at the sand bar. Looking to run all of Sebago, Brandy pond, and Long lake next weekend. Chores around the house this weekend :blahblah::blahblah:

Had another excellent weekend, Bruce the Checkmate looks killer! Also saw Jim (502SS) as well.. I saw a weird boat, older, teal and white paint scheme with twin 502 on the side.. Has anyone seen this? I passed him in the songo near sebago..
Also a huge thanks to Kurt for letting me try out a few props, it really is so nice to be able to try before you buy, assuming something will work doesn't always pan out.. So again, Biggus, THANKS! Now the search is on for a bravo 1 24p, anybody have one kicking around? See you all on the water Friday! Justin |

it will cost you.....
beer or a ride:whistle:) Thanks for the compliments on the checkmate, it is a great 21' boat (meaning it looks great from 21' away). The engine is idling a little rough but it goes good as long as I keep it over 3500 RPMS. It's a really cool little boat, but still needs a lot of work. The carpet (new) needs to be replaced (don't ever use Lowes outdoor carpet glue), still needs some gauges and I'm putting the finishing touches on the wiring, but I'm having fun with it. Start of rant: **** I have an old JVC car stereo that I wired in today. I was going to mount it underneath and run it till it died. I bought some cheap speakers, hooked it all up and the dam stereo won't drive the speakers. It senses that they are too wimpy so it shuts off when I turn the volume up. WTF. I call JVC and they told me this. Disconnected the speakers and it works fine (of course you can't hear it then:lolhit:) End of rant **** Sorry, I needed to get that out |
