3Rd Annual Conneticut to Long Island fun Run
 

On Saturday October 4 , 2014 , a bunch of us will be getting together in Old Saybrook between 9:00 and 9:30 am and running over to the Jerry and the Mermaid Restaurant in Riverhead where we have reserved a private room . There is also an aquarium right next door for anyone interested. The last two years of this event have been a blast and has been said to be one of the best runs of the season by many. We'll have boats from Outerlmits, Fountain, and Sutphen to name a few. Anyone is welcome to join. Just give me a heads up if you're thinking about coming for a slip and head count at the marina and restaurant. A few guys will meet up with us from LI as well. For those who have never been up that way its a real cool spot and a real nice ride this time of year. Hope to see you out there.

I'm out of port Jefferson Long Island . I know the guy who owns( or the son) the aquarium . There is also a marina there. It sounds like a good time. May be picking up new fountain this sat.

I'm trying ( Charlie is trying) to get TKO together by next weekend for the run. If not I'll be in Jimmy's boat.

Not a lot of response yet, I would like to hear more, so I can help the restaurant out with numbers, we will have a good run anyways, we always do!

Last year the run went by Greenport, north west passage of Shelter Island. Weather not looking very good, that's a shame it is a great run!

That's a nice run, just be sure not to wahoo it past the "bud light" house on stilts.

Apparently inside Claudio's area, going to peconic, there is now a 45mph speed limit they are "trying" to enforce.

They have radar guns apparently....

By the way is that mileage correct? 90 miles! Based on this past weekend I'm not too sure I can go that far on a tank of fuel, geeeeeeeez.

Yes, I did. It's part of my " make up". Never mind the bull sh-t answer the 2 questions. Are you changing the date to Sunday (is that possible with your previous arrangements for lunch at the marina, etc.) and is the mileage correct?

Hey Shaun. Trying to find out for sure who else is possibly going from our neck of the woods. May be a 36 Spectre, a 37 Outerlimits, and a 35 Fountian, that's besides me and John. Johns making some calls to find out for sure and get a head count. I'll call ya later today. Also Chris from above with his Sunsation is coming from our area but don't know how many will be with him. If you see this Chris maybe give Shaun a heads up on head count.
