Got a look at an aerial photo of Stony Point Bay Marina... looks like their ramp should be big enough for my 47 but still would like some local confirmation if possible. When I get around to it, I will call them. I also see they have a travel lift right next to the ramp.

HU 5
I think they have two ramps one on the north end were the travel lift is and one on the south end.

I might do this in either the Active Thunder or the Rage. Gonna wait to see when the CT River run is though. We have to take the Rage to that this year.

Jon I'm in. Obviously with the thunder, 4 people including myself

thanks Dahlilama , did you run yours ?

Dahlilama 09-02-2015 07:14 AM

No I didn't. I wanted to, but I called a week before to reserve dock space as advised by their Facebook page. I got there about 45 minutes late and I guess my reservation didn't mean anything because there was no space left. I anchored on the other side of the river and watched then left as soon as it started raining.

I spoke with some friends that use this ramp weekly. They put in 42 fountains all the time. I know your boat is much bigger but they said it wont be a problem unless at low tide, 7:50 on the 17th. I also put my 40 footer in there. We can put you in last( closer to high tide) and pull you out first ( closer to high tide).

Well, if you believe the Cigarette guys, they will tell you that my 47 really is a 44...LOL... I am going to call the marina and ask them what my options are. I called Haverstraw Marina already (used to dock there 20+ years ago) and their ramp is not long/deep enough and they also do not operate their travel lift on Saturdays..

lol. and there 42 are really 38s. If it makes any difference to you, mine is a real 40 and I put my boat in there. We wont have any problems
