Ok thanks for the info.

Long Island guys meeting at 7:30 at the mount Sinai ramp. Are you guys on board with meeting the guys at Haddam around 10-10:30? It's my first time and I'm unfamiliar with the area so I'll go with whatever you guys want to do

That's usually what we try and do,

Is there a noise law on the river? I have my boat running turndowns in Nh and was going to take them off.

You won't have a problem with noise but you will have a problem if you blow through the no wakes which seem to come up every 5 mins. and if you are killing the 45 mph speed limit it will be a problem, especially in a "Offshore" speed boat. I went once a few years ago and had a great time but when all the cops show up its no fun for me.
I drive a speedboat because I want to go fast if I want to be hassled for going fast I'll just take my car for a whip on the highway, don't need it on the water.

Vessels built on or after January 1, 1993, must not exceed a noise level of 88 dB
when measured at stationary idle speed from a distance of 40 inches or more.

Vessels built before January 1, 1993, must not exceed a noise level of 90 dB
when measured at stationary idle speed from a distance of 40 inches or more.

No one should operate or let anyone else operate a vessel that exceeds a noise
level of 75 dB when measured from a distance of 50 feet or more.
