you only have to worry about the noise levels at idle. not much they can do while on plane. silent choice is deemed not acceptable, they want a fixed muffler. i ran a 900 hp motor with dry pipes but my tail pipes were under water at idle and silent as can be and never had a problem. good places to drop anchor is log bay , red rock bay or reserve a dock or camp sight on one of the islands. speak with the park commission at Norwal marina for available docks or go on the lake George park commission website . There is also a deli / convince store and a ranger station on glen island if you need anything on the water. there is also a deli and gas dock on the north east side of the Sagamore bridge in Bolton landing, resturants / bars to go to by water are the Blue water manor , algonquin and the boat house all on the east side. if you want to catch bass , best thing to do is go to the islands and drop a live minnow or worm 20-25' deep in 30-40' of water.
