Default 100 Islands

Hello All

I'm thinking of doing my first trip to the 100 islands next month. Can anyone recommend a place to stay that has a ramp/dock? Even a decent public ramp? I will have a small boat, so really don't need much.

Any recommendations of the must see's?

Thanks for any guidance.

Find a hotel in alex
alexandria Bay. There’s a boat ramp at Bonnie Castle. You can stay at Bonnie Castle hotel. You must run your boat across the river and visit Boldt Castle, then run your boat down to Clayton and spend the day walking the shops, have lunch, check out the maritime museum. Run your boat to visit Singer Castle. Stay in the channels because there are big rocks outside the channels ….stay safe. And enjoy.

As the previous poster said, Alexandria Bay is a great place to stay. I'd look at the Riveredge or Edgewood Resorts if you'd like to park your boat where you stay. There is a public launch in town and also a very large public dock if you choose to stay somewhere else within walking distance.

The other popular hot spot is Clayton, NY. There is a public launch and the nicest hotel in the area, 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, which also has docking for customers.

Either way, you're going to want to check out both villages as they offer great shops and eateries in their own right. I'd definitely take a trip to Boldt Castle and maybe Singer Castle as well. Uncle Sam Boat Tours in Alex Bay offers several cruises, including a tour of "Millionaires Row" which will show you some amazing properties along the seaway.

Enjoy!

Just an update:

I went this past week and had a great time!!

The scenery is unbelievable!!!

The water is really clean. I did all that was mentioned and then some. I highly recommend anyone thinking about it to make the trip. It is definitely worth it. Pictures don't do it justice.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!!
