The date is July 16th. Due to exorbitant insurance rates no speedo checks are planned at this time.

I'll second the "less seaweed". This year I WILL have a sea strainer. At least that way it will be a quick fix.

A sea strainer would not have fix my problem....I have nose cones and it plugged up even before it would have reached the strainer.

I have Stainless Marine Super Strainers, and lots of sea weed at my dock. There is never anything in the strainers.

The Rainbow is always booked over a year ahead, as it is not the official hotel and just holds about 10-12 rooms for us. The Showboat is the official hotel (as well as headquarters and base of operations). We have the whole place and we make the reservations ourselves. I would suggest checking the website regularly (www.rochesteroffshore.com) about late march for info on registration. As soon as registration starts get your form and $ in for the rooms (they will be on the reg. form) early and you will have no problems.

As for the seaweed with the nosecones, I had similar problems when I had an Alpha SS drive that had just 2 small pickups in the nosecone. I experimented with different size metal screen pieces and found a size that didn't limit water pressure but kept out the seaweed. I epoxied them over the pickup holes and then used a bondo filler, to smooth finish around them, and repainted. Email me if you need any more info.
