Did not get a reply, so I didnt make the trip.Took mine out and fueled it then came home for some more cleanup.. Next door guy came over and mentioned that he was down at Indiana Beach and that there was a Yellow boat Like mine there from Laporte that lost it engine cover,was that Craigs?
The only thing that didn't make sense was he said it had twin engines.. Is there another Cat on your lake that has twin engines?

Sorry for no reply. I just got back to this thread this morning (Tuesday). I got the boat fueled and running on the hose, but never made it to the lake. Things are pretty busy right now for me with the new baby!! Maybe next weekend. The yellow boat down at Indiana Beach is our buddy Tommy! It is a 30' Liberator cat with twin blown 496's. I would imagine it was his first trip to the lake. I haven't spoken to him and this is the first I heard of the hatch blowing off. Hope everything else went OK for him. As for coming over to Pine Lake I will definately let you know when we will be messing around out there. I really can't string out every last MPH out there as it is too short, but I can make sure everything is right. We do most of our speed testing on Hardy up in MI. You can observe from our pontoon and have cocktails!!

Thanks alot. Nikki and I went down to the warm water Monday. The lake was nice, but it is still a little chilly. I really like the boats ride so far. I have been driving boats for ever so I have basically have it licked. Can't wait to see you guys on the water.

Glad to hear from you,That really sounds like a winner to come over and watch you guys, with cocktails too! Dont think I could pass a deal like that up.. Sorry for the trouble that Tommie had but running the triple number,at only 5 grand. He still had a great day!!
I almost forgot what it is to have a new one in the family,once again grats to you and the wife!! My youngest just finished IU last year!
Do you guys ever make the trip to Indiana Beach? I just thought that it would be too crowded on that lake to turn them loose.. I just havent been there in Years, I used to take my Drag boat and get a run at it every once in awhile..
Be sure and let me know when you are running.. I went and fueled mine yesterday almost wants you to give up on power Boating. 140 gal of Premuin. Sail boats may not be that bad afterall (just kidding)

I can't wait to see the Wette Vette run again this year. I think I am going to sneak over to Craig's house and wax the bottom of his cat to try and give me a chance to run with him this year.
I got so excited this weekend when I heard my motor was finished that I went out and bought another cat.....a 1999 playbuoy poontoon....ha ha.
Les, come on over to pine lake for a nice 5mph cruise and some cocktails around the lake with us.

My motor is suppose to be going to the dyno this week. I am guessing it should be 850+. We shall see....
Once I get it back and make sure everything is right, I will grab Wette Vette and make a run to boaters beach or Hammond Marina and we can all meet up.
How long will it take to get to Hammond Marina from Michigan City at 75-80mph cruise :-)
