Default Doug.....props

Doug, I have a set of 17x30's, but I have them lent out for the summer. The guy keeps his Cig in the water, so it'd be hard to get them back.
Why do you think that you need 30's? Do you have 1.36 ratios in the drives? I thought that boat had 1.5's in them. If you have 1.5's, i'd go with a 31 pitch. I have 1.36 ratio's and I run a 17x31. If you have 1.5's, you should need atleast a 31.

Intense Marine in Fla has several used ones to choose from, they're # is 305-948-3353
Also, try Randy Garcia at Cobra, I know he'll have what you need, and he's easy to deal with. Tell him you're a friend of mine from Riss Performance Marine, he'll do you RIGHT.
Also, Peter Pavkovich at TNT in Fla has a pr. of 17.5x31's. He wants $3500, and he usually won't budge.
I'd go with a pr of 17's if you have the choice, cause you always want to spin the smallest diameter prop that you can. The bigger dia. props usually work better on an Arneson style of drive.

Thanks Frank, I am going to have to double check the ratio tomorrow, I think they are 1.5. My 28's are 16 3/4 dia. and I might have a lead on a pair of 17x30p in Cincinnati. I am going to try and barrow them for the Poker run. My drives are so close together I would really be pushing my luck with 17 1/2 dia. Thanks again for all the info. Doug

PS, Since Dave worked on the jetting and went from 140's down to 98's I complained to him that I can't read the dip stick because the oil is so clean I called him after the run last week and complained again because we picked up so much more power now I have to buy bigger props . I think he likes those kind of complaints.
