Re: Chicago Poker Run
Can someone help me with the best route (no construction/traffic backups) to get to the marina for the poker run. We will be coming from the NW suburbs (53 and 94 or 53 and 290). We will be leaving about 2:30pm on Friday.
Also, is there any special location we should park trailer once unloaded?
Thanks,
Rick

Re: Chicago Poker Run
Leave as early as possible.
294 - 94 past Hammond to Cline 912 North
912 North to exit 5B Resorts/Pastrick Marina.
You will notice a 20 story hotel near the water.
Plenty of secure parking.

Rick, if you want to avoid going through that downtown mess on the Dam Ryan to get to the skyway, you could always take 294 south to I-80 east. There's a little construction there as soon as you get onto I-80, but it only lasts a couple miles and usually it keeps moving. If you decide to go that way, you'll need to get off at Cline Ave North. You'll be about 3-4 miles farther south on Cline than if you would've taken the skyway. I think that either way will take about the same amount of time. Sometimes the Dam Ryan moves pretty good even though it's down to 2 lanes, and sometimes it's a standstill. It's a gamble, you never know what to expect, if there's a fender bender on it, "ferged a bowdit" everyone sits.
