got stopped yesterday in Wintrop pulling my Lx 10 6" w cop was real nice let me drop off boat and go pay for permit $ 25 no tiket. For such an infamous guy I don't seem to rub cops the wrong way.

Did the truck you were pulling it with look like a commerical truck (name on it) or pleasure truck?
I am curious as I heard they stop the people hauling that look like they are in business (i.e. haulers, marina's, dealers, etc).

I am a former Waukeganite and have launched at the harbor many times. If you do go there stay to the far left (north) launch as you look at it. It gets deep quickly and your boat will float off the trailer without pulling too far in.
