Sunday, I was out in the playpen early. My starboard engine experienced a MAJOR problem 10 minutes after I left the ramp so I tossed an anchor in the playpen really really early. Apparently not in the right spot.
Later, I saw most of you guys go for a blast and then anchor closer to the beach. I was thinking of pulling up my anchor and moving to the back where the rest of the CPBC/OSO crowd was, but……………………I was very nervous about having my sick engine die at the wrong moment while trying to raft. I didn’t want to be bumping into any of those beautiful boats.
The weather was just spectacular, and other than a broken engine, it was a great day.

I got a late start, we wound up cruising around the pen. Did not have time to drop an anchor.
I felt like the kid in the locker room at gym... my small boat.
No matter how much I measure it, it is still barely a 25'. Seeing all of you kinda made me shy.
Now the wifey is more interested in moving up. She got a bit nervous on the lake...didn't like the wave action too much. I dropped the tabs a bit which helped. As I said in my other forum, I think she would feel better in a 29' although she wants a cruiser instead of a go-fast. At least I have her steered toward a Formula.
It was a great day for boating!

Never sweat the "small boat" thing...we don't discriminate here! It's all about having a good time on the water.
Tell ya what...come out to the Beach Party, anchor in and meet some people. I'd be happy to take you and your wife out for a ride...I'm sure others would respond in kind. A ride in Mr. Cig's boat is what got my wife to agree to a bigger offshore.
