Default Pickups on LSD

Get your minds out of the smoke you Hippies.
Is it illegal for a pickup Truck to drive on Lake Shore Drive. A nephew of mine got a ticket today ($75) for driving a truck on Lakeshore Drive. It wasn't even a big pickup. It was a regular cab with a short bed Nisson.
If someone could tell me I would appreciate it.
Isn't that how most of you get to Diversey Harbor?

No trucks or pick ups on LSD. There is exception with RV plates only.
Chicago PD does not care small or big, they ticket them all.[/B]

what does the ticket say? Does it list a GVW, or just no "trucks"?

I know technically my f-350 is illegal on 4 ton roads, but there is no way a Nissan is. If its by GVW you can fight.. if it says trucks, then law makers are idiots sometimes.

It has to do with the PLATES...

I can drive my pickup on LSD...I have FireFighter plates. However if I put on the standard "B" plates then I too could get a ticket.

Thats correct no b plates. Goes for pickup's or even Cargo vans. If you have the specialty plates and drive on Lake Shore Drive good to go. Never had a customer complain about it using the specialty plates.
