I watched as Rick fired the engines up on the hose when he came to pick the boat up from Dave's shop before Rick took the boat to Texas. With each pulse from the exhaust pipes you could definately feel it in your chest. It really sounded bad azz at idle! Dave said the boat still needs even more prop with the new/bigger power.

See...that REALLY depends on the ride! The BEGINNING of the ride I went on started really well...the END kinda sucked!
The cap on the trim pump reservoir came off (stripped) and the fluid sloshed out and the pump lost it's prime. I was quickly designated to be the monkeyboy and shimmied back to the offending reservoir which is all the way back by the transom. It was there, with 1800 hp reverberating in my skull and hot pipes fractions of an inch from bare skin, that I did what amounted to a headstand, grabbed the cap, and tried to screw it back on. It was stripped, so no dice. All the while, we are idling through Monroe harbor in a 1-foot chop. Finally, we dock at the Chicago Yacht Club, and with a piece of electrical tape around the reservoir's threading, I provide a temporary fix. At least I didn't get burned...but dammit I want a REAL ride next time!
