I remember back in the mid 80's, when the water at the boat launch in Diversey harbor came up the ramp, over the top, and into the parking lot.

I just read that the Lake Michigan water level is up another 13" over last year. Last year it was up, I believe, 10" over 2007. that's almost 2 feet in 2 years. 
I wonder how long before the climate change people will start in about high water and beach erosion?
We are still 40" below the all time high in 1986.
