I just came in from my first round of plowing. It is unbelievable outside. Visibility of almost zero and drifting like crazy. Already have 6-8 inches and it is only 7:30. Supposed to snow all night !!! I wish I had a go-pro camera so I could record what it looks like thru the windsihield as I am driving with all of my strobes flashing. All the snow picks up the light---looks very cool.
I hope we break a record with this storm.

I'll see if I can get some to turn out later tonight. Otherwise I'll post some of tomorrows plowing. I cannot believe the winds. My house is creaking from the wind pressure on it and it's half brick !!!

Got up at 4am and shovelled for an hour...got a lane cleared for my Jeep, but the road hadn't been plowed. No sweat in the Wrangler. The only cars on the road were me, the cops, and the plowboys when I came into work. One road on the east side of my industrial park is closed. Got in through the other way, but both of the drives to my shop were blocked with drifts and piles from the plows. A plow took out my mailbox as well...thanks Orland Park. Had to get past a chest-high drift to get to the door of the shop, which was also drifted in. Little D showed up to plow after I'd been here 1/2 hour or so...he's been out all night.
So then, I got my sled out and rode around the industrial park.
Only one other guy has made in today.
