Default difference between 31&33

Looking for a change, and am interested in the ocean express. what are the difference's between the two, what kind of speeds can be expected with decent power, what do they weigh, and are there any for sale in these depressed times. How do they compare to other cats. Thanks in adance for any information Bruce

as far as ride differences between the 2, the 33 is going to give you a better ride i would think, the extra 3 ft seems in length and the 10ft beam versus the 8 of the 30,to move the bar a great deal to more of a Big cat feel and ride,my 33 is for sale and i really enjoy it, big cabin and cockpit, wave crushing hull, big engine room..mine's a 97 and its from detroit area, i've had it in florida 2 years but i dont use it as much as i thought i would as i have 7 boats and run my STV euro much more... if interested in discussing call me 941 302 3828

The 33' has a wider tunnel and just works better, and with the same power seemed to be faster that the 31'. But the wide 33' cat was a pain to trailer around. I also had a Active 33' that was even wider 11" beam. but the Image, Express 33' was the best. Our team raced the Motor City Magic from 1986 to 1987 and won a few race's.

When she was the Magic it ran with #III Merc speedmasters. Later after Bob Kehrig sold her she became Bad To The Bone and lastly RayBan. As RayBan she had speed IV drives and the add on beaks to make it legal for open class.
