Re: St. Clair great turnout
At the 5pm drivers meeting, 46 boats answered roll call, with more on the way. This will be a great race, and it might be one of the biggest of the season.

Re: St. Clair great turnout
Its sad, but we realy have to thank fat Clown Mathews for the great success at St.Clair. He's one of the driving forces behind screwing up Nort-East racing and he suceeded so much that St.Clair became the only game in town. Thank you Mark for bringing all real racers together.

Re: St. Clair great turnout
The fat clown is sorely missed here - they need a really big turn buoy out in the river ... They might even give him his own website ... www.obeseonly.com
|
Re: St. Clair great turnout
Between the OPA race in the morning and the OSS races in the afternoon, Sunday should be a FULL day of racing!!!
All of it live on www.talkoffshore.com. |

Re: St. Clair great turnout

Correct me if I am wrong but this isn't really a "New Class" is it? I could have sworn I read the rules for the Extreme Class way back in the beginning of the year on OSS's website. I just recall no boats ever showed for it. Anyway, have some great, safe racing tomorrow! :drink: |
Re: St. Clair great turnout
Sharkey: 3 boats in OSSX, first time racing at OSS. More boats to come next time. They (and Smitty) received a very warm welcome at the drivers meeting.

Re: St. Clair great turnout
Race schedule for today:
12:15 - Blue Water/OPA race 1:15 - 1:30 - 1st OSS race OSSX, OSSV, OSSVL 2:30 - 3pm - 2nd OSS race OSSC, OSSCL, OSSCO Exact race times depend on freighter traffic etc. |
Re: St. Clair great turnout
Tomlinson: "34 OSS boats, the biggest number this year."
Weather is perfect, bright and sunny, not too hot. Should be a fast race. Wild Card, Wild Ride, Screaming Eagles and Typhoon all clocked in at 93mph downriver and 88mph upriver during testing. Should make for a very interesting and tight race. |
Re: St. Clair great turnout
Thanks for the updates Bertel, er, uhh, I mean Randy.
Best of luck to Page Racing and Smitty. |
