It is a one horse race right now and if that horse goes away what will they do?

pat W

If that happens, you and Rik will get cuter by the minute I suppose because there will suddenly be a "need driven" mentality. Right now, you are not needed at all.

I am serious when I say have you offered to get in the game that is being played instead of comlaining about it?. Why not offer a contingency program, or even pay to hvae the product accepted?. I know in its face that may make you grit your teeth, but would the additional sales be worth it?

I think you confused my statment. I did not mean nor do I think it's time for the HP525efi to go or be replaced but this is the engines 4 year on the market and usually Mercury only keeps HP engines around for about this many years. So I felt that it around the time Merc would be replacing this engine with something better and that the rule makers need to think about this.

In 2000 we were approached to pay to be on the safe list. We did not. No regrets. They were gone in 3 years.

I do not understand the mentality of winning a race because you are the only one allowed and then plastering it up for the world to see that you are #1. We were #1 because we earned it.

Now back to getting some answers.....................

No answers mean they are in the wrong.

Pat:

No answer may not mean anything sinister. I agree that a 'NO" is called for if the answer is no, that would be the professional way to handle it. If you coiuld have been on the safe list and elected to pass, what is the beef?, at least with former Administration??

I have a beef with B.S. one sided rule makers whatever group they may be with. If the rules had one shred of equality or sence I would not have a problem. Not one of the boat constructors are required to pay to race why should my company.

The only reason the rules are in place is to keep one company from looking like fools on the race track.

No answer means they know they are wrong and they are afraid to say it in public.

With all the board changes in OSS, Who is in charge of the rules?

Pat...

You are obviously not getting the answers you seek here. Why continue to push the issue when you know you will not get what you want?

Now that the season is over, why not send a formal letter to OSS and have them present your proposal to the appropriate classes for a vote?

I will continue to push until I get some answers. 7000 plus looks and no answers, good stuff. Who is looking?

Why am I not getting any answers?

Who am I supposed to talk to? That was 2 posts ago.

The people you seek answers from do not reply on this board. That is why I suggested that you send a email or letter to OSS. Did you try to contact Bob Teague?
