Im Out For A While

I'm confused....
If the Krytonite Typhoon boat was set up to run at P-5 class speeds and meets the Prop Calc Rules, why wouldn't it be allowed to run in P-5?
Let's say Randy sold the boat before Cambridge and someone wanted to race it,(A Novice Racer at that) would they only be allowed to run it in the higher speed class???
It fits under the Maximum Length Rule, what is keeping him out of P-5 if it were propped with a low pitch?
Just curious.....

Sharkey, it's simple. We use the prop calc at the boats max speed. What would stop me for instance from propping down my purple Boat and running p4. Yea it would only run 75 but it would get there in 5 seconds. Is it fair to put an 82 mph boat up against a ligit P5 that runs 70? I dont get it. The prop calc for P4 is 80. Randys boat runs 82 I have been in it. So we already have to slow it down for P4. Any more questions call me 732 920 3945. Smitty

Thanks for the clarification Smitty.
I just don't see how it is any different from the purple Viper...

Randy: With all due respect, you have shared
a wealth of knowledge here but you ask questions
and when you don't like some of the answers you delete the
thread.
You have left before, came back, now again?
Just an observation.
