What about cleaning the wind shield, getting glasses or taking Larry's advice and simply following the leader.

SVL4 , If you follow the leader this year which will be Typhoon you have the same result! If you clean the windshield and see what is really happening around you, you will probably quit racing from fear!

I think we should make them smaller so you guys have to do some navigation.

I always wondered how guys found the turns when they were like 5 miles offshore in the middle of no where before GPS came along.

I like the blimp/balloon idea....20ft in the air with "Turn Here" printed on them, would be just right!!

I think the baloons/blimps are a good idea if the racers don't mind not having air coverage over them anywhere near the turns. No Angel ship or photo ship for that matter in his/her right mind is going to get anywhere near a baloon /blimp. If it broke free and wrapped in a rotor the helicopter would fly like a rock. In OSS the race course is set up and medical coverage in tha air as well as on the water is provided so that the racers can run the course to learn where the turns are, set the GPS, map the course, practice their turns or whatever they need to do. On race day only a turn boat, Med. boat and possibly a tow boat are allowed near the turns. With all that if you miss a turn maybe we need to add a vision test to the Physicals.
