OSSCL 2006 -first pin tight!
2006 for Cat Lite in The Offshore Super Series is shaping up to be an interesting class to keep an eye on. Motley Crew will be in to defend there title. Page Motorsports is bsck in the hunt. Peppers as always (with any surprises?) Dirty Duck has paid their yrly. fees. Reliable is in with a hot cut down MTI. Speed Racer also sporting a new MTI is in the line up. Team Professional Marine with a a new light wt. Skater 388 -also in! Popeyes is in. Total 8 currently on the books.! American Dream owned by the Beaven's who are charter member's are coming back if only for a few race's Maybe's include Pour It On from stock outboard moving upin there 36 Skater. The rumor mill also has Bourget's (formerly Liq uid metal) being eyed to compete. Words about a 368 project being over-seen by the master, Bob Teague are floating about. Doug Wright has had a boat that qualify's for this class in the works. There is a 2005 Nor-Tec for sale at Cumberland Marine with some recent bottom blue printing done that has it at the 120 mph level ! Who knows-CMS, Showtime, Thats 15 teams who could possibly show up. Anyone know of any more? Its going to mighty interesting at the first pin in Destin April 9!! The lite class is a great group of brothers in arms. But don't let the brother crap fool you . When the flag drops, for the next hour or so , IT'S ON!!!!
P.S. I talked to Bob Bull A.M. and he said CMS will be at a couple of OSS races with possibly 2 boats. One cat lite and 1 super or extreme.

Stan,
Sounds like a great year for this class. I am glad to see the level of competition/boats increasing in these classes. Best of luck to you and your team in 2006.
