Met with the Destin folks today and the USCG. All is looking good. The previous information is correct. The course is going to be East of Destin Pass along the beach to the Henderson Park area. It's approx 2.8 nm. in length. We are working on a list of hotels and condos, so please bear with us.

"POWER MEETS PARADISE"

The lead from the MERRICK WORLD CUP CLASSIC 2006 is Barbara Barnes aka "Pearl", she has more information than I could ever post on here, but I will continue to put it up here as it comes out. For those who are familiar with the Orange Beach area and the World Famous Flora-Bama Lounge, she is the person who coordinates the Mullet Toss weekend where 10's of thousands of people come to throw a fish across the Fla-Ala state line. Yeh I know what you're thinking, Alabama and throwing fish???, so don't say it just let go.

There are several events planned during the race weekend and they will be released as the event gets closer.

Can you make sure that we get to do a fish tossing contest in the dry pits??? We need to enjoy some redneck sporting events like that. God I love it down there.
