Orange Beach Cat Outboard
Getting reports that there was a collision in the Cat Outboard race. Heard that Mapei and Mojo were out front and some how Mojo hit Mapei forcing them out and Mojo got the win. Anymore reports on this?????

Re: Orange Beach Cat Outboard
There are two sides to every incident and I am sure neither involved boat was intending to touch. Gary and Paul are awesome racer's and were running side by side for a while. As they made a move to get in front it seems their port engine was not in the clear when they cut over and our brakes were not working well. Grant pulled out but they still touched. It is unfortunate it happened, we like the side by side stuff and we have done it before with Gary.....it was the best race ever in NC last year! MOJO would rather a second place finish than have a race end like that. Each team was lucky that no one was hurt having a high speed incident. Everybody is safe to race another day. OSS is reviewing the footage now for an official decision. To Gary and Paul we are very sorry that you went out and could not battle to the end!

MOJO won the race.
Mapei stopped with 2 laps to go and has a smashed cowling, broken coil, spark plug, and thermostat housing.
