Re: Shoot Out Loto
None posted yet. Lisa Mathews ran 161mph with Randy Kent in Speed Racer. New womans record!! congrats Lisa. Dave Scott was 178 in extreme boat with J.T.on sticks and ran a half course 155 exibition in Turbine. Mark Granet and Scotty Begovich got some sort of turbine class record at 174 in John Haggin's Platinum Princess. Mike Defreeze and Jeff Harris ran 169 Slug Hefner and Alvin Heathman ran 119 in CC4M2 (closed Canopy Cat 36-40 ft. Modified factory-(or 525's), twin screw.)in Ramond Contrares 388 Pro Marine, setting new record. The old record in this class was Slug's at 106. Peppers was playing with props and ran 110. Dennis Berry in his Berrycuda ran 111mph. Popeyes ran CC3M2 at 118 setting new record from 98. The difference between CCC4 class (36-40 ft.) and CCC3 class (32-35 ft.) is length classification. Good thing for us because 118 was hard to come by with 100 degree heat, totally flat water, and no wind to air boats in 1 short mile. From a virtual standstill 1 mile goes by quick when you are trying to trim for speed. I might be off on a couple of speeds as I had to leave early. Callan had no problem at 208!!! Absolutely incredible run, these guys are class acts and we are hoping to see them in Vegas. Dave Scott's show was all about Beautiful hardware and as usual he was the King of the show with Prince Haggin trailing closely behind! OSS troops were in abundance to support the Firemen of the Ozarks. Our Angels were in charge of safety , naturally, because David D. and his guys are the best! All in all an event to remember. Heavy duty hardware from everywhere. More $ in poker run/ go fast rockets and raceships in one place than I have ever seen. Great people all volunteers for the cause. The Lake is even more beautiful than I remember as a kid growing up there in the summers. Thanks to Dave Scott, John Haggin, Slug and Randy Kent for sharing this place and event with us.
