Lute - agreed. Any of them can be beaten on a certain day. In Key West last November, at the start, all four boats (2 Ffountains, 2 Skaters) were so close on accceleration at the start and all the way to the 1st turn yu could have thrown a blanket over them, no one had a clear advantage, and this was in dead flat water where it was all about top speed.

Except for Turmel and Welling (in his day) I don't think the Skater Guys have any where near the R&D time in their boats that Reggie does, so to me that is makes the Skater even more impressive, but both boats can get you into the Winners Circle for sure.

Hey Lute. Good to hear you talkin smack like everyone else. Kinda reminds me of you and Scot on the Radio show in St Pete. I agree that you crossed the finish line in OB 1st but I think there was about an 800lb difference between the 2 boats. We had the nice 700lb "parity adjustment" and you weighed out slightly underweight. I have to hand it to you guys you were the faster boat in OB. I think we lead every other race. As I recall the 2004 Key West Worlds had 16 boats in our class and we were leading race 1 in the Donzi until the last lap when a cracked block put the motor in safety and we still finished 2nd. Race 2 we finished 1st due to Welling being penalized then we broke in race 3. There sure were alot of fountains there. I think we can all agree that the boats just keep getting faster and isnt that the idea of progress. I think it is great that Fountain, Outerlimits & Skater spend the time and money to get where they are on the race course because what they learn there goes into the boats they build for their customers. Im glad that they keep raising the bar! We sure miss racing and smack talkin with you guys. We are looking forward to getting the Spectre Cat finished this year and hope to see.

I agree with Adrenalineracing. Which one is better, Fountains? Skaters? Donzis? It is all about races. And how u cross finish line to determine the winners.

Ken and Scot- Any updates on when u guys will start racing Spectre Cat???

What's up Ken?
As you can see, there are lots of opinions on here and I usually "lurk".
I spent the whole year chasing you guys around the course.
Ther you go Skater fans . I RESPECT SKATER ! So does R3.
There are many on here who have little or no experience on the course, but are the first to chime in when they think there is low hanging fruit. R3 and I along with you guys, leave our race on the course...Others like to sing a song on here...??? I guess that's why we keep up with it.
Tell Cletus I need some free floor planning on about 10-15 Spectres !
As for OB, anything I say will come across as whining and I don't whine. Just stirring the pot.
When you guys get back out there I may sell my house, quit my job and get out there with you, until then; SELL!SELL!SELL!
Good to hear from you...

Lute you are one funny guy. I forgot about Cletus. The best part of racing is good competition and good friends. I have a lot of respect for you and R3 and hope that we can race together again soon. The Spectre is a little behind schedule (what a surprise in the boat building business) We hope to be ready in July if there arent anymore delays. Mike... Club Adrenaline is ready to re-open very soon.

Adrenalineracing,

You said Club Adrenaline? What do you mean by that? I am curious...

Thanks
