Oss V-lite

Again we had another conference call with all 8 teams and 3 stanby teams (Simply A.,Hometown and the new team from Screaming Eagles) Went over the 08 schedule, 2X2 starts and Drive lines in SVL. It was confirmed that drive shafts are legal in SVL. It was also great to see the new owners of the Screaming Eagles on the call. There boat is back together and starting some testing. Welcome aboard!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jen is still shopping for bathing suits for the Sunny Isle race and the teams are getting pumped for some big water racing in FL. Lavey Craft will race on Fri. to Bimini to try and set a single motor boat record. Looks like a 8-10 boat fleet in SVL in FL. Also the phones have been ringing at Phantom,Lavey Craft and Extreme for new boats. This class is going to explode with excitement and new racers.

Reindl Powerboats 05-14-2008 10:14 PM

Any Chance of us building a boat for the class? We could have it ready for some testing late in the year?

DriverofDonzi 05-15-2008 06:18 AM

Awesome! Good job!

TYPHOON 05-15-2008 07:27 AM

Chris it was talked about and for now the class does not want to risk the unknown factor of your boat desighn. It wasnt long ago when A class let in the Fabio Buzzi boat in and it help kill the class. We are still talking about it.

We have two new (OLD) crash dummies signed up for Sunny Isle...........yes Brucie is back with Jay on the sticks, what a team a real recipe for a crash and burn or the checker flag. Looks like 9 boats working on 10!

There will be NO crashing. And the only burning will most likely be on top of my bald head.

Larry D 05-15-2008 04:12 PM

you don't need a suit Jenny but those little stickers that people put on then tan around leaving a white design ( crossed checkered flags are my favorite) oh no that was with paint and another story ha ha its shaping up to be a great event hope a few more come out of the woodwork
Larry

TYPHOON 05-18-2008 03:13 PM

Larry its working on you already! Jenny has you all figured out. I cant believe you are falling for the old swim suit stunt. I notice you never comment on Trophy's swim suit.

heater63 05-18-2008 09:43 PM

Hey Chris,Build it anyways.I'm sure it wont go to waste

SVL4 05-21-2008 01:26 PM

I got confirmation from Matt "Blades" Croce that our props will be ready for Sunny Isles. Larry F is looking forward to the rough waters of south Florida, afterall that is where he learned his craft. Larry in the early 80's piloted three different vessels to Cuba. We have been running with borrowed props since Destin and we needed to get serious again and with Throttle Up props, which were used by Mark and Jenni to wax the field in AZ,we should have all the fire power to calm Typhoon. Randy, as the great Jay Muller said yesterday, your new win less streak begins in Sunny Isles, another three years for a victory. In all seriousness,Randy and the rest of the guys have done a wonderful job with this class. We cant wait to Sunny Isles.

Wil

TYPHOON 05-21-2008 05:00 PM

Wil,this is boat racing. When Larry rowed to cuba and back 3 times has nothing to do with building his craft. The only thing he was build were blisters! And you were probualy beating the drum for him to keep his pace. This could be another SMOKE A CUBAN race if you want. TYPHOON rules the seas and bring your A game.

Got Metal?

Aqua Banshee 05-22-2008 03:43 PM

Just wishin for flat ocean, or we may need to borrow some props, Jenny says she is not ready for the big water yet.

Than again ask Jenni about her ride after the Shootout at LOTO in a 22 Talon with twins. Why she throttles and we have a canopy

heater63 05-23-2008 12:23 PM

got our first taste of big water in OC.Its hard to imagine that a boat can take that kind of abuse.I cant explain the amount of adrenaline flowing through my viens for the entire time we were out there.Definately the most exciting, most intense thing I have ever done.I just cant wait to get back and do it again.hopefully we can finish the entire race in sunny Isles.

axapowell 06-05-2008 07:57 AM

Gotta agree with heater! The WOW factor and Adrenaline Rush was intense! Bring it on Ocean, what else ya got!

Dave

TYPHOON 06-05-2008 07:51 PM

Its got a whole lot more than that! Puerto Rico was plain big and bad for our size boats. I think you should practice racing in and out of your local inlets in a storm.:evilb::evilb:

Ron P 06-05-2008 08:12 PM

This could be the water for Laveycraft or Heater's narrow Vee.

heater63 06-10-2008 08:31 PM

ok vee lite guys (and girls)want kind of gas mileage are you getting? Can I make bimini on 58.7 gals. We"ll be testing all day on monday.Hopefully have a better idea then but we will be concentrating on gaining some speed instead of gas mileage. This boat will break the 90mph mark before I'm done.wont need the top speed next week but its allways nice to know you can do it.(No Randy! I'm not gonna do it on the trailer!!!!!! )

Aqua Banshee 06-10-2008 09:53 PM

We got around 2.25 mpg at Havasu at 89.8 mph. Tried to do a little pleasure boating/practice/fuelburn this weekend, but the water patrol said it was a touch to loud.

Were set up for 89mph and flat water for Sunny Isles, but we don't know any better. Can't be that rough.

TYPHOON 06-11-2008 07:34 PM
