OSS web site

It's broadcasted live on talkoffshore and if you can't listen to it live you can replay it at anytime. talkoffshore also has articles leading up to the race, about the race and the results of the race on their site.

How about updating the "Teams" section?
Just an example:
Cat Lite:
ASM
All Jack'd up
Learning the Ropes
Let's Play Racing
Reliable
None of these boats are racing in the series so far this year, All Jack'd Up was sold and isn't even in the country anymore. Plus, there are classes listed that aren't even racing.
Most of the news about the races and the organization I get from OSO (main reason why I joined). I realize that there is a LOT to do when running a race series, but that website is OSS's "storefront," and it's quite confusing for first time fans (and potential sponsors) who go to there to learn about the sport and teams. It needs to be simpler to navigate, up to date, and more informative. Most fans probably know what every member of a NASCAR pit crew does, but it's still amazing to me to go to a race and most fans still ask why there is a driver AND a throttleman. Fans like to be informed, they like to know every little detail about the sport. I just think there's a great opportunity to improve the site and make it more "fan friendly."

The catlite teams you've listed raced with OSS last season. They are listed as giving them and their said sponsors some extra recognition. I believe you will see some of these teams back on the water with OSS this season.

And BTW, I'm not slamming OSS (I didn't say that the site "sux"). I don't follow the other orgs like I follow OSS. I try to make about half the races each year. Last year, I only missed Pickwick. This year I've been slacking since my clients are co-sponsoring an ALMS team and a NHRA Pro-Stock team (talk about different demographics). You had asked for specifics, I thought I'd throw a couple of cents in, FWIW. It just seemed like the teams section was out of date. And since I'm making enemies
, driver/throttlemans bios would be cool too...

I was too hard on the OSS site but you put it in better words Stu, fan's really want to know details about the boats, crew, and the race. I think OSS has a bright future ahead, all of the people my wife and I have met so far go out of their way to let the fans know about the racing, All I have met are a great bunch, hat's off to the racers, crews and sponcers. I too like the Cat lite class.
