Do we crane in from the deck?
Some rough races I remember are: Sodus Point "86 black flagged first lap, Atlantic City in '88?, Miami '90 tight 8's, West Palm in '99 was after Hurricane Dennis we raced with 19' long rollers. Pretty cool actually. Buffalo '00 we would have gone but Mike through the black flag. Come to think about it a lot of races back when were rough.

All depends where you would measure ....
I have learned that surfers tend to measure from the back end of the wave not the face...
