Mr. Gene Oswalt, Executive Director for Cruisin The Coast & Smokin The Sound, died Saturday Sept. 13th 2008, in his home in Gulfport MS. He was only 52 years of age, but suffered from a cardiac related problem. He worked with Mr. Woody Bailey also from Cruisin The Coast and Smokin The Sound President and numerous other organization officials and promoters for events along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Mr. Oswalt founded Crusin The Coast back in 1996

My thoughts and prayers go out to Gene's family and friends. I remember meeting and working with Gene back when OSS was first being formed and putting together the Biloxi race. Great guy and he really loves Offshore Racing in his town...
