I am going only on memory here. I thinkt Steve M set it in 2003 at around the 93 MPH mark.
Then, I believe either in 2007 or it might have been 06, Bob M, set a spped of either 96 or 98 in TN.
But, I would think the official record is Steve's.
Bob was using an 850 in his !!!! Just kidding Bobby.
It's going to be a great season in SVL this year!!!

as always, the big motor debate! Funny how the teams using the blue motors have no complaints! and the ones not using them have no one to race! its time to move on!

Doug, I dont think Steve is to far off on a sealed 525. Thats a dyno number from the crank before it goes threw the drive train. Merc's rated HP numbers are normally at the prop. They were conservative when they named it the 525. I would guess there is a 25 HP loss going threw the drive train.

Leave it to you too burst my bubble Randy.Geez I thought I had something there.I guess its back to the drawing board.I'll check with my boys down south today to see if they made anymore progress with the old girl.
