Latest report, Motor is in and drive slides on smoooooth!
There has been a couple unexpected issues to address. First the motor mounts have completely changed from Merc on this motor as compared to our last. The good news is they make a kit so they will work without making all new mount. Second is the new wiring harness to the existing barrel plug. THEY ARE DIFFERANT. We had to run a new harness from the motor to the front. 3rd the existing gauges are analog and will not work with the new digital system. There is a kit to convert I am told. The good news is we are almost done and in the future its plug and play. Hoping to fire it up tomorrow and have it ready for the water on Sat. The Wrench John Catsulos has been working his butt off along with Glenn Helwig.
If all works out we are planning on hitting the road in 2weeks to test at Trummels shop for a day for the fine tuning and off to Biloxi. I will post more picks.
