Thumbs up APBA new starting procedures

APBA has posted there new starting procedures. It will be a straight line as always with the winner of the last race on the outside of the line and so on inward till lane one which will be the last place boat from the last race.
I am all for this kind of start and think it should be a much better way than going in a circle till the music stops and scrambeling for lane one or the last lane.Lets all give it a try and see how it pans out before you say its no good or all negative comments.Who wouldnt want to know who they are starting against on both sides and it gives you more room on both sides if everyone has a position.Let the less experianced teams all rub at the start and the better teams feel safer next to someone they respect for there skill. How many times have you started a race and see a new team next to you and you tell your partner to get away from them as fast as you can.I will take a start next Flashwave,Activator or Superboat on the outside any day over some of the other crazy teams in lane one.

I AGREE WITH YOU RANDY, LETS GIVE IT A TRY BEFORE WE GIVE OUR OPINIONS I THINK THIS WILL MAKE FOR PRETTY GOOD AND SAFER STARTS LIKE YOU SAID GIVE THE LESS EXPIERENCED TEAMS THEIR OWN SPOTS.

I would suggest that at the orange smoke we break out of the mill circle and get in a line.Start the mill circle 1/2 mile back from normal and break out of mill in gear and idle till we get picked up.Also have the middle boat as the pace boat for the line not to pass. Its to hard to judge distance from the pace boat to stay leagal.Maybe use a volanteer boat as the line boat not to pass.
Randy
Would love to here any other ideas.
