Merc. Steps Up Big!!!!

Just got the contigecy plans for 2003 from Merc. $150,000
and they stepped up and are giving $3000 rebates on the 525EFI motors and $5000 rebates 0n complete motor and drive package. There are some restricitions to the program but only to non raceing people.
Everyone asked for this and now we got it.Its good to see Merc. step up and make such a great offer to the racers.

Yeah, it seems like a great program, but if you call and ask about the details of the rebate will it be hard CASH or will it be a certificate for cash redeemable against marine (Mercury) products. Check out the details!

When will it ever get to be real cash that can be spent just like any other dollar in my wallet? I hear that's what the Vortec program is doing, finally someone understands!

Randy,

I have not personally called Merc racing about this deal. But perhaps you should since I note that you are a frequent Mercury advocate and then post the true facts. It seems like every time a manufacturer puts up contingency or rebate monies it ends up being something less than full hard cash. Just like the Mercury 2003 APBA contingency award program. It's great if you want to spend your award buying more product. I'm not saying I'm not appreciative that they are doing it, but I know customers would rather have hard cash like the Vortec Program is apparently going to offer.
