Miami update / info

A few retirements, a couple of spins....about 13 finished I think....there were too few to count...got bored and lost count...
Bacardi soloed around abit faster than the Vee's for the win. They should race both boats when nobody shows. Actually, El Diablo was in the dry pits but didn't have engines....oars...or sails...but they do have NC as a sponsor....go figure...
Firewater won despite spinning and almost running over a Batboat cutting across course, Switch (Extreme) ran second and Muscle (ex-Nick Carter fountain) took third limping in with mechanical trouble.
That's all I recall...it was a snooze.

Thanks for the report..I must say that I am a bit dissapointed. Considering first race of the season ...Miami ....
WASSSSUP with that??? I hope this doesnt set the pace for the rest of the season.

Miami SBI is a notoriously poor turnout since the days of racing in Government Cut. The weather was terrible yesterday with today's forecast not any better, the race was not promoted in any meaningful way, current political uncertainty, first SBI race of the season....oh yeah... poor economy....maybe we got what we should have expected....

Based on first race turnouts, Marathon should have a better turnout. The Saturday race in Daytona (40+ boats) had almost double the number of total entries of Miami today. Marathon could have 90 potential entries based on Daytona's 82 and its a nice course layout for F1 & P boats.
